Start with the pet in front of you
Have a recent weight and its unit ready, along with your pet’s age and reproductive status. If you know the birthday, enter it. If you only know an approximate age, Scoops can display an estimated birthday. Keep the distinction clear: an estimate is useful information, even when the exact date is unknown.
Bring the whole food label
Keep the exact product name, food format, and calorie statement nearby. Foods with similar names can have different energy densities. Include the wet food if you mix wet and dry, and remember the treats and extras that belong in the feeding record. Check the current packaging when a library entry differs from the bag or can you have.
Keep the plan connected to care
Scoops brings these details into a feeding calculation and a record you can return to. For a pet with a health condition or a prescribed diet, begin with your veterinary team’s instructions. Keep changes in appetite, body condition, and weight available for that conversation.
