Record what is actually happening
A useful feeding record describes the food your pet is receiving, the amount, and relevant changes. Keep treats and other extras in the picture. When a routine changes, record the change rather than relying on memory at the next appointment.
Keep measurements comparable
Record the date and unit with a weight. Use a consistent weighing routine where practical, and share unexpected changes with your veterinary team. A single number is context for a conversation; the record over time can make that context easier to understand.
Separate notes from instructions
Your observations and a veterinary team’s directions serve different purposes. Scoops provides places for household information, feeding guides, and follow-up records. Where a clinic shares a plan, keep its directions available and ask the team before changing a prescribed diet.
